About

I'm Seb Featherstone, a designer and marketer based in Perth, WA. I've been a creative and a problem-solver for as long as I can remember. Early on that looked like making DIY short films with friends in the local gully, building knight costumes out of cardboard, and throwing myself into every lip-sync event at primary school, each one somehow featuring a cardboard cut-out of an electric guitar.

That creative streak carried into adulthood, mostly through music. I started out on guitar before switching over to electronic production, and I've been making my own music for over a decade now. More recently I picked up woodturning, mostly bowls, which has quietly become my go-to birthday and Christmas present to give.

Professionally, I studied communications and found my way into the games industry, where I spent seven years at PikPok shaping how games are positioned, told, and brought to market. It taught me to start with the audience and let evidence guide the craft, instincts I still lead with as a designer. These days that toolkit is pointed at Pixel Lake Games, a three-person indie studio I co-founded, where I lead UX/UI, game design, and 2D art, building with AI-assisted workflows.
